Vlassides Winery

Established in 2003, Vlassides Winery's vineyards are situated in the region surrounding Koilani village, gracing altitudes of 700 to 1100 meters at the top of the Afames mountain, located south of Troodos.

In 2005, the vineyards underwent a comprehensive restructuring following years of experimentation, resulting in a thorough renewal and modernization with the implementation of new systems for linear shoring and permanent irrigation. The construction of the Winery was finalized in 2012, featuring an unconventional modern building harmoniously blending with its surrounding landscape.

Vlassides Winery cultivates a range of red grape varieties in its vineyards, including Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Yiannoudi, Agiorgitiko, and Maratheftiko. Among the white grape varieties grown are Xynisteri, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Assyrtiko, and Promara.

The winemaking approach at Vlassides is characterized by a unique combination of thoughtfulness, artistry, and scientific precision. Embracing both international and indigenous grape varieties such as Maratheftico, Xinisteri, and Yiannoudi, the winery strives to create wines characterized by primary grape aromas, resulting in fruit-driven, fresh wines that never veer into overripeness.

Vlassides Winery invites visitors to partake in wine tours that offer an insightful presentation of the winemaking procedures, from the vineyard to the barrel, culminating in a wine tasting of four current vintage wines.

Nestled amidst a serene setting with panoramic views, Vlassides Winery beckons wine enthusiasts to savor exceptional wines, making it a destination of choice for those seeking a captivating wine experience.
