Larnaca

The second smallest district in administrative area, Larnaca, occupies part of the southern side of Cyprus.  In the south, it is comprised of a long coastline, while on the north it occupies part of Troodos mountains.

Larnaca is the successor town of the ancient city-kingdom Kition, thus, giving it a rich historical and archaeological past. Nowadays, it comprises of the cosmopolitan city of Larnaca with its emblematic “Phinikoudes” promenade, Choirokitia being the most significant settlement of the Neolithic era, archaeological sites such as the ancient city of Kition, charming traditional villages and coastal areas with beautiful sandy beaches.
